Which CS2 Cases Have Gloves? All 7 Cases, the Terminal, Every Glove per Case and Real Cost (2026)

Seven CS2 cases have gloves: the Glove Case, Operation Hydra Case, Clutch Case, Operation Broken Fang Case, Snakebite Case, Recoil Case and Revolution Case. An eighth container, the Sealed Dead Hand Terminal, holds the 22 gloves added on 11 March 2026, but it is a terminal with priced offers, not a case. Between them they hold four glove sets, and the case you open decides which set you can hit, never the odds.
This fitting gives all eight with Valve's release dates and their Steam price on 10 October 2026, a lookup of which glove comes from which case, and the number most guides skip: what one glove costs to pull. From the cheapest case that was about $1,038, against a 2018-set floor that averaged $70.
The eight containers at a glance
| # | Container | Released | Cost to open | Glove set | Expected spend per glove |

| #3 | Clutch Case | Feb 2018 | $0.63 + key | 2018 set (24) | $1,200 |
| #4 | Operation Broken Fang Case | 3 Dec 2020 | $7.45 + key | 2020 set (24) | $3,823 |
| #5 | Snakebite Case | 3 May 2021 | $0.49 + key | 2020 set (24) | $1,146 |
| #6 | Recoil Case | 1 Jul 2022 | $0.29 + key | 2020 set (24) | $1,069 |
| #7 | Revolution Case | 9 Feb 2023 | $0.21 + key | 2018 set (24) | $1,038 |
| #8 | Sealed Dead Hand Terminal | 11 Mar 2026 | $0.49 (no key) | 2026 set (22) | priced offers |
Four sets, eight containers. The 2016 set lives in the Glove Case and the Operation Hydra Case; the 2018 set in the Clutch Case and the Revolution Case; the 2020 set in the Operation Broken Fang, Snakebite and Recoil cases; and the 2026 set only in the Dead Hand Terminal. The first three sets have 24 gloves each and the newest has 22, so the game holds 94 glove finishes in total.

Find the glove, read up to the set, and you have every container that can drop it. Vice is in the 2018 column, so it comes from a Clutch or Revolution case and nothing else; Snow Leopard is 2020, so Broken Fang, Snakebite or Recoil; Pandora's Box is 2016, so the Glove Case or Hydra. The three fingerless families are one set each: Bloodhound only in 2016, Hydra Gloves only in 2018, Broken Fang Gloves only in 2020. Per-family detail, with renders and wear notes, is in the Sport Gloves and Driver Gloves fittings and in the fingerless gloves page.
The Glove Case itself (2016)

The Glove Case is the container that put gloves in the game. Valve shipped it with the "Brothers In Arms" update on 28 November 2016 and wrote that, unlike previous cases, its possible special items were "24 all-new gloves". Those 24 are still the most expensive set: Pandora's Box, Hedge Maze, Superconductor, Crimson Kimono and Spearmint are all in it, and the set's Battle-Scarred floors averaged $334 on our read, against $70 for the 2018 set. The cheapest 2016 glove was Driver Gloves | Convoy at $59.33.
If you searched "glove case cs2" because one appeared in your inventory, it is a normal weapon case that needs a key, and on 10 October 2026 it listed at $12.01 on the Steam Market, the second-dearest container here after the Operation Hydra Case at $36.94. The Hydra case of 23 May 2017 reuses the same 24 gloves behind different weapon skins, which is why some trackers file Pandora's Box under Hydra; it is a Glove Case original. Both are priced by collectors as items in their own right, not by what is inside them.

The 0.26% and what a glove costs to pull
Every glove case gives a rare special item at 0.26%, roughly 1 in 385 openings. The number is from Valve's 2017 odds table for its Chinese client (0.26% rare special, 0.64% Covert, 3.20% Classified, 15.98% Restricted, 79.92% Mil-Spec); the Western client shows no odds, and we found nothing from Valve that changes them. No case has "better odds for gloves": what changes from case to case is the price of an opening and the set behind it.
Divide one opening by 0.26% and the picture is blunt. The Revolution Case ($0.21) and Recoil Case ($0.29) cost about $1,038 and $1,069 per expected glove, the Snakebite ($0.49) about $1,146 and the Clutch ($0.63) about $1,200. The gloves those four can give had Battle-Scarred floors averaging $70 (2018 set) and $83 (2020 set), so the expected spend is more than ten times the average glove before you choose a finish.
The older cases are worse. The Operation Broken Fang Case at $7.45 works out to about $3,823 per expected glove, the Glove Case to about $5,577 and the Hydra Case to about $15,165. Even for a 2016 set averaging $334 at the floor, that is a loss on average, and it ignores the second roll: which of the 24 you get. On these numbers there is no best case for gloves. The cheapest pair on a listing, a Hydra Gloves | Mangrove at $24.33, beats every case.
Set by set: 2016, 2018, 2020, 2026
The 2016 set (Glove Case, Hydra) is the prestige set and the only one where a single glove can run past $20,000 in Factory New; on 10 October 2026 its cheapest listing was $59.33 and its average floor $334. The 2018 set arrived with the Clutch Case in February 2018 and came back in the Revolution Case on 9 February 2023, which, in Valve's words, brought back the Clutch Case gloves as rare special items. It is the softest set in the game, with Vice as its headline and Hydra Gloves at the floor.

The 2020 set debuted in Operation Broken Fang on 3 December 2020, then returned in the Snakebite Case (3 May 2021) and the Recoil Case (1 July 2022): Snow Leopard, Nocts, Black Tie, CAUTION! and the four Broken Fang Gloves are in it, from $32.67 at the floor. Then came a gap of more than five years with no new gloves, until the Dead Hand Collection on 11 March 2026 added "22 all-new gloves as rare special items".
The 2026 set is the odd one. Its container, the Sealed Dead Hand Terminal, is what Valve calls a possible weekly drop; once opened it shows a short series of specific items at prices Valve sets, paid from the Steam Wallet, with no key, and since 4 March 2026 you can set a maximum offer so the terminal only shows offers up to that limit. Valve does not publish how often a glove is offered. On the Market the sealed terminal itself listed at $0.49. The cheapest 2026 glove was Driver Gloves | Seigaiha at $60.13; the whole set is covered in the 22 new gloves.
Why the old cases cost more than their key
A case's Market price and its contents are two different things. The Revolution, Recoil, Snakebite and Clutch cases all listed under a dollar on 10 October 2026, with thousands of units changing hands on Steam every day, while the Operation Broken Fang Case sat at $7.45, the Glove Case at $12.01 and the Operation Hydra Case at $36.94. The rare-item odds are the same in all seven, so the gap is supply and collecting, not a better chance at a pair.
The current weekly drop rotation is not something Valve publishes, so nobody outside Valve can say for certain which ones are still being handed out. What the prices do show is that the cheap four are plentiful and the dear three are not. A dear case is the worst way to chase gloves, because you pay the collector premium on every opening and get the same 0.26% back.
Trade-ups as the third route
Since 22 October 2025 Valve's Trade Up Contract has let five Covert items be exchanged for "one regular Knife item or one regular Gloves item", drawn from the collection of one input. None of the eight glove containers has a knife in its pool, so five Coverts from any of them can only return a glove from that container's set. There is no StatTrak route: gloves do not exist in StatTrak, and the StatTrak version of the contract gives knives only.
On 10 October 2026 the cheapest inputs were five M4A4 Temukau from the Revolution Case at about $114 for a 2018-set glove, five AWP Chromatic Aberration from the Recoil Case at about $119 for a 2020-set glove, and five AWP Queen's Gambit from the Dead Hand collection at about $163 for a 2026 glove. A 2016 glove needs Glove Case or Hydra Coverts, from about $950 for five M4A4 Buzz Kill. The output is random within the set and its wear follows the inputs by a community-documented rule Valve does not publish, so cheap high-float inputs give a worn glove. It beats a case by a wide margin and still loses to buying the pair you want; the routes and markets are in the complete CS2 gloves guide.
If you would rather buy, use a market that shows the float on the listing, because a glove's whole float window is 0.06 to 0.80 and Factory New is a sliver of it. We use SkinBaron and DMarket for gloves. Either link may pay this site a referral fee while your price stays the same; that never moves a band we print, and we never link to scams.
Edge cases
Four things catch people out. First, the Kilowatt, Gallery and Fever cases carry knives, not gloves, so no recent weapon case is a glove case. Second, since 16 March 2026 players in Germany and the Netherlands must open keyed containers through an X-Ray Scanner, per Valve's notes (keyless ones such as Souvenir Packages are exempt); that changes how a container is opened, not what it holds. Third, the sealed terminal's Market price is not a cost per glove: you pay again for whichever offer you accept, and an unopened terminal is just an item. Fourth, a glove from a case or a contract is a plain item with no StatTrak or Souvenir version, so two pairs of the same finish differ only in float and pattern.
Questions at the counter
Which CS2 cases have gloves?
Seven: the Glove Case, Operation Hydra Case, Clutch Case, Operation Broken Fang Case, Snakebite Case, Recoil Case and Revolution Case. The 22 gloves from March 2026 come from the Sealed Dead Hand Terminal, which is not a case.
What are the odds of getting gloves in CS2?
0.26% per case opening for the rare special item, about one in 385, per the odds Valve disclosed for its Chinese client in 2017. Which of the 24 gloves you get is a second roll.
Is the Glove Case still dropping?
Valve does not publish the weekly drop pool, so it cannot be confirmed either way. At $12.01 on Steam on 10 October 2026, against under a dollar for the Clutch, Snakebite, Recoil and Revolution cases, it trades like a case that is no longer plentiful.
What is the cheapest case to get gloves?
The Revolution Case at $0.21 on 10 October 2026, but that still means about $1,038 in expected spend per glove. Five Revolution Coverts at about $114 are cheaper, and a listed pair is cheaper again.
Can you trade up to gloves in CS2?
Yes, since 22 October 2025. Five regular Covert skins from a glove container return a random glove from that container's set. StatTrak Coverts cannot make gloves.
Every band in this fitting comes from the same read as the complete CS2 gloves guide, where all 94 finishes sit in one table.
