The cheapest CS2 gloves right now
Twenty finishes with a Battle-Scarred listing under $50 on 9 September 2026, what each one looks like worn, and which ones are cheap for a reason. Every band carries its read-date.
The cheapest gloves in CS2 on 9 September 2026 were the Hydra Gloves | Rattler and Mangrove, both listing from about $26 in Battle-Scarred, followed by Driver Gloves | Racing Green at about $27 and Hydra Gloves | Emerald at about $31. Twenty finishes had a Battle-Scarred listing under $50, a floor that did not exist before the October 2025 trade-up update. The table is the floor as we read it; the notes under it are about which floor pairs are worth standing on.
The floor, read 9 September 2026
Twenty gloves under $50, cheapest first, with the set each comes from and the Factory New ceiling for scale. "Entry" is the lowest Battle-Scarred listing we found across the marketplaces we track; a listing at that price will be a high float, often above 0.60, and will look it.

Notice what the floor is made of: the four Hydra Gloves, the plainer Hand Wraps, the budget Driver and Moto finishes, and three of the four Broken Fang Gloves. Every one is from the Clutch or Broken Fang sets, which drop from cases that still cost under a dollar; the 2016 Glove Case set's floor is the Bloodhound Gloves | Bronzed at about $59. The full 94-row table with every band sits in the complete CS2 gloves guide.
Why the floor fell this summer
The floor is roughly 40 percent lower than it was in July. A budget list updated on 7 July 2026 put the Battle-Scarred Rattler at about $44, Mangrove $45, Racing Green $47 and Emerald $49; on 9 September 2026 the same four listed at $26, $26, $27 and $31. Nothing about the gloves changed. What changed is supply — trade-ups have been minting Clutch-set gloves out of sub-$25 Revolution Coverts since October 2025, and cheap gloves are exactly the ones a Battle-Scarred trade-up produces.
That mechanism is worth understanding before you buy at the floor, because it means the floor is not a bargain that will close. Five Battle-Scarred Revolution reds cost about $110 and return a random Battle-Scarred Clutch-set glove; as long as that maths works for anyone, the cheap end of the Clutch set keeps refilling. Buy a floor glove because you want to wear it, not because it is cheap today.
Cheap for a reason: what 0.45+ float looks like
A Battle-Scarred glove is one with a float between 0.45 and 0.80, and on a first-person model that fills a quarter of your screen the difference between 0.46 and 0.78 is enormous. Leather finishes (Driver, Moto, Bloodhound, Hydra) scuff to bare hide at the knuckles and fingertips; synthetic Sport fabric fades and frays; Hand Wraps discolour but keep their print. The Rattler and Mangrove at $26 will be near the top of the window and will look like they were dragged behind a car.
The honest budget move is usually one tier up. Well-Worn (0.38–0.45) is a narrow band that often costs only a few dollars more than Battle-Scarred and looks meaningfully better; Field-Tested from 0.15 to about 0.25 is the value zone for almost every finish. On a float-filtered marketplace, sort ascending by float inside the tier you can afford — the tier label is the least useful number on the listing.
The five floor pairs we would actually wear

Rattler over Mangrove at the same price: the snakeskin panel hides scuffing and the brass studs stay bright. Both are fingerless, which some people dislike, and both are Clutch-set gloves that a trade-up refills daily, so buy at a float you like rather than the lowest number on the page.

Racing Green is the cheapest full-fingered cuffed leather glove in the game and one of the few floor pairs with a colour that carries a loadout. The chevron weave on the back of the hand shows wear early; a Field-Tested pair under 0.25 is the one to hunt.

Buckshot is the cheapest Specialist, and Specialist is the shape most people picture when they think of CS2 gloves: knuckle padding, a wide cuff, a tactical silhouette. The khaki reads well even worn because there is no bright colour to fade.

Duct Tape is the floor pair that looks intentional at high float: tape is supposed to be scuffed. It is also the single most searched budget glove, which keeps it liquid if you ever sell. Cobalt Skulls is the same wrap with a blue print at about four times the price.

Emerald is the black glove at the floor: plain leather, one green emblem, nothing loud to wear off. If you want a pair that disappears under any loadout for the price of a case key times twelve, this is it.
The cheapest new gloves
Of the 22 Dead Hand gloves released on 11 March 2026, the cheapest on 9 September 2026 were Driver Gloves | Seigaiha at about $63 in Battle-Scarred, Sport Gloves | Creme Pinstripe at about $69, Specialist Gloves | Chocolate Chesterfield at about $70 and Driver Gloves | Dragon Fists at about $71. New-set gloves carry a premium because the terminal is the only case-like source and its odds are unpublished; their floors have been falling as trade-ups from the terminal's two Coverts (about $33 each in Battle-Scarred) add supply. The full set is in the 22 new gloves fitting.
How to buy at the floor without overpaying
Use a marketplace that shows the float, filter by float inside the tier, and compare the sticker with the fee added. Skinport charges buyers nothing and sellers 8 percent, so the listed price is what you pay; CSFloat lets you cap the float in the search and charges sellers 2 percent; SkinBaron and DMarket carry the older sets in volume. Trade bots such as Tradeit and SkinSwap are quickest if you are swapping skins you already own, but their commission is baked into the price, so check the same glove on a listing first. All of those are linked through disclosed affiliate redirects from the buying section of the guide, and none of them is a case-opening site.
Two rules from the ledger. First, the seven-day reversal window since July 2025 means a pair bought from a bot or crafted from reds cannot be resold for a week, so a floor pair is a keep, not a flip. Second, the date on every band here is the point: if it is more than a month old when you read it, re-check the live listing before you pay.
Questions at the counter
What is the cheapest glove in CS2 right now?
On 9 September 2026, Battle-Scarred Hydra Gloves | Rattler and Hydra Gloves | Mangrove at about $26, then Driver Gloves | Racing Green at about $27. All three are fingerless or budget leather at high float.
Are cheap gloves worth it?
Yes if you buy them to wear, no if you buy them to sell. Floor gloves are Battle-Scarred trade-up output from cases that cost under a dollar, so their supply refills daily. A Well-Worn or low-float Field-Tested pair usually costs a few dollars more and looks much better.
Why are Hydra Gloves so cheap?
Small studded fingerless design, Clutch-set membership (craftable from about $110 of Revolution Coverts), and four finishes that most players find plain. Case Hardened, the one with a pattern, is the exception at about $51 BS.
What is the cheapest full-fingered glove?
Driver Gloves | Racing Green at about $27 Battle-Scarred on 9 September 2026, then Moto Gloves | Transport at about $32 and Driver Gloves | Overtake at about $36.
Do cheap gloves look bad?
At the very top of the float window, yes: leather scuffs to bare hide and fabric frays. Printed finishes (Hand Wraps | Duct Tape, Hydra Gloves | Rattler) hide wear best. Filter by float, not tier, and stay under about 0.25 if you can.
