The 22 New CS2 Gloves: Every Dead Hand Glove, How the Terminal Works, Bands (2026)

The new CS2 gloves are the 22 finishes of the Dead Hand Collection, released on 11 March 2026 — eight Driver, seven Specialist and seven Sport Gloves, the first new gloves since Operation Broken Fang in December 2020. They do not come from a case: they are offered by the Sealed Dead Hand Terminal, a weekly drop, or crafted from five of the terminal's Covert skins. On 9 September 2026 they ran from about $63 for a Battle-Scarred Driver Gloves | Seigaiha to about $5,000 for a Factory New Sport Gloves | Ultra Violent. Every one is below, with what the terminal actually does.
What Valve shipped on 11 March 2026
The update note reads, in full on the subject: "The Dead Hand Collection is now available, featuring 17 finishes from community contributors, and including 22 all-new gloves as rare special items. Access items in the Dead Hand Collection via the Dead Hand Terminal, available as a weekly drop." That is the whole official description. The rest — offer mechanics, prices, odds — comes from how the earlier Genesis Terminal (16 September 2025) behaves and from listings.
Twenty-two is a bigger set than any case ever carried (cases hold 24 gloves but share them across two or three cases). It is also the first time gloves were added without a matching family: no Moto, Hand Wraps or fingerless finishes, only the three full-glove families with the most visible surface.
How the Sealed Dead Hand Terminal works

You do not open a terminal; you negotiate with it. Unsealing starts a three-day window in which an in-game arms dealer makes up to five sequential offers, each a specific item from the collection with its wear, float and StatTrak status shown and a Steam Wallet price attached. Accept one and you pay Valve that price; decline and the next offer appears; decline all five, or let the three days run out, and the terminal is gone with nothing. Accepted items carry a seven-day hold and an Original Owner tag. Since 4 March 2026 you can set a maximum offer limit so the dealer only shows offers up to that price.
Two things the guides get wrong. There is no key: the terminal itself is nearly free (about $0.34 on the Steam Market on 9 September 2026) and the cost is whatever Valve prices the offer at. And the odds of being offered a glove rather than one of the 17 weapon finishes have never been published — trackers display the standard 0.26 percent case odds against the terminal, but Valve has not said the terminal works that way. Players in Germany and the Netherlands additionally open all containers through an X-Ray Scanner since 16 March 2026.
The other route: five Dead Hand Coverts
Because the terminal's collection contains only gloves as rare items, five of its regular Covert skins — AWP | Queen's Gambit and Glock-18 | Fully Tuned — always trade up into a Dead Hand glove. On 9 September 2026 both listed from about $33 in Battle-Scarred, so roughly $165 crafts a random Battle-Scarred glove from a set whose 22 floors average about $148. That is close to break-even at the floor and the reason the cheaper new gloves keep drifting down. The output float follows the inputs' average, so Battle-Scarred reds make a Battle-Scarred glove; the mechanics are in the complete CS2 gloves guide.

Should you buy a new glove or an old one?
Buy a new glove if you want the pattern; buy an old one if you want the price. The 2026 set carries a novelty premium — the cheapest new glove costs more than twenty finishes from the older sets — and that premium has been eroding since March as terminals and trade-ups add supply. The old sets, by contrast, halved in October 2025 and have been flat-to-down since. If you are choosing between a Field-Tested Seigaiha and a Field-Tested Racing Green, you are paying about $40 for the new print; for Garden versus Snow Leopard the gap is smaller than it looks and Snow Leopard is far more liquid.
Questions at the counter
What are the new gloves in CS2?
The 22 gloves of the Dead Hand Collection, released 11 March 2026: eight Driver (Garden, Wave Chaser, Brocade Crane, Brocade Flowers, Hand Sweaters, Plum Quill, Dragon Fists, Seigaiha), seven Specialist (Pillow Punchers, Cloud Chaser, Blackbook, Lime Polycam, Big Swell, Sunburst, Chocolate Chesterfield) and seven Sport (Ultra Violent, Occult, Violet Beadwork, Red Racer, Blaze, Frosty, Creme Pinstripe).
How do you get Dead Hand gloves?
From the Sealed Dead Hand Terminal, a weekly drop that shows up to five priced offers over three days, or by trading up five of the terminal's Covert skins (AWP | Queen's Gambit, Glock-18 | Fully Tuned). There is no case and no key.
What is the most expensive Dead Hand glove?
Sport Gloves | Ultra Violent, listed from about $559 in Battle-Scarred to about $5,000 in Factory New on 9 September 2026; Specialist Gloves | Pillow Punchers follows at about $225 to $4,200.
What is the cheapest new glove?
Driver Gloves | Seigaiha from about $63 in Battle-Scarred on 9 September 2026, then Sport Gloves | Creme Pinstripe at about $69 and Specialist Gloves | Chocolate Chesterfield at about $70.
Are terminal odds the same as case odds?
Unknown. Valve has published no odds for terminals; trackers show the 0.26 percent case figure against the terminal, but nothing official supports it. Treat the terminal as a priced offer, not a lottery ticket.
